Water spinach or kangkong is abundant here in the Philippines.You can see this plants growing at almost every par of the country. Some are even planting them at their own garden making sure that it will grow good enough for family consumption.
Filipinos usually include kangkong at some dishes or recipes that calls for green and leafy vegetables, e.g. kangkong pasta with meatballs.Some even cook this veggie as their main dish e.g. adobong kangkong.
Here’s another kangkong recipe that you can try at home.
* Kangkong leaves
* Chopped garlic
* 1/3 cup Oyster sauce
* dash of ground black pepper
How to Cook Garlicky Kangkong:
1). Wash the Kangkong leaves thoroughly. Place in a strainer. Set aside.
2). In a pan, saute the garlic until a little brown. Set aside half of it for garnish.
3). In the same pan, add the oyster sauce then the kangkong leaves.
4). Let simmer for 3 minutes. Add ground black pepper and your done!
