If you love the original sinampalukang manok dish (chicken with tamarind soup), you might also fall in love with this recipe. The red sinampalukang manok recipe includes all the usual ingredients and cooking procedure for the original recipe. The only difference here is the addition of tomato sauce into the dish.
Some might find this recipe a bit odd or unusual but I can truly say that it’s something deliciously different that you must try now.

Cooking Time: 30 mins
Red Sinampalukang Manok Ingredients:
* ¼ kg chicken leg (cut up)
* ¼ kg chicken thigh (cut up)
* 1 pc medium Onion (sliced)
* 1 tbsp ginger strips
* 1½ tbsp Patis
* 1 cup sitaw (sliced)
* 1 pc Siling Haba
* 200 grams banana heart (sliced)
* 150 grams cabbage (sliced)
* 1½ tbsp Sinigang Mix Powder
* 1 pouch (200 grams) Del Monte Original Style Tomato Sauce
Red Sinampalukang Manok Cooking Procedure:
1). Sauté onion , ginger and chicken in 1 tablespoon oil for 5 minutes. Add patis, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce and 1 cup water. Cover and Simmer for 10 minutes
2). Add sitaw, sili, and banana heart. Simmer for another 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
3). Add sinigang mix, stir then add cabbage to cook .
This recipe makes up to 5 servings!
