Sinugno – Grilled Tilapia Fish in Coconut Milk Recipe

Sinugno is a popular dish in the Philippines especially in Quezon. Sinugno is a dish wherein grilled tilapia (fish) is wrapped in mustard leaves then cooked with coconut milk or cream with good amount of chili.

The flavor of the grilled tilapia (fish) combined with coconut cream makes this dish simply one of the best tasting Filipino dish. If you wanted to try Sinugno at home, here is a simple recipe you can follow.

Sinugno - Grilled Tilapia Fish in Coconut Milk Recipe

Sinugno Ingredients:

* 2 whole tilapia fish

* 1 inch ginger, crushed then chopped

* 2 cups coconut cream

* 1 tablespoon chili flakes

* mustard leaves (mustasa)

* salt to taste

How To Cook Sinugno:

1). Put a good amount of salt into the fish then grill. Put in a pan when done.

2). Add ginger on top of the grilled fish. Pour coconut cream. Sprinkle chili flakes.

3). Bring to a boil. Simmer until the sauce has reduced to half. Season with salt.

4). Add mustard leaves then simmer until the leaves are cooked. Enjoy!
